Natasja obtained her degree from Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology in 2012; being admitted as a Chartered Accountant in 2016. She gained her Certificate of Public Practice from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand in January 2019.
Natasja started her career at one of the Big 4 accounting firms, where she gained a wealth of knowledge and business acumen. She went on to work for middle tier and smaller accounting firms to gain better insights into running a smaller practice and working one-on-one with her clients. She knew from early on that helping small to medium business prosper is her passion. Being accessible in terms of capacity and fees made her decide to venture out on her own, leaving behind the overheads linked to big offices and fancy coffee machines, to be the trusted advisor to her established client base.
Natasja prides herself in getting to know her clients really well and having good client relationships that enables open communication and the ability to impact clients’ businesses as well as their personal financial goals. Natasja has built a network of trusted industry professionals including lawyers, mortgage brokers, insurance brokers and financial advisors to ensure all clients have a group of trusted advisors around them.
Natasja also believes in giving back, NJCA Limited is an approved business with UpstreamNZ which is a referral network that provides businesses the chance to give referral commissions back to the not-for-profit community. Natasja lives in Selwyn, and as any Selwyn business owner will tell you it is a passion to see the region grow and stand out from the rest. Natasja loves working with clients that have similar values and principals, acting with integrity and honesty, as well as understanding the need for a well balanced work-life.
Natasja’s number one priority is her two girls and husband, living on a lifestyle block she enjoys working with her horses and other farm animals. Creating a lifestyle for her kids that fosters a sense of responsibility as well as being able to get back to grassroots with limited screen time and more muddy puddles. Originally from South-Africa, Natasja is bi-lingual with Afrikaans being her home language, but is totally at home in Canterbury.
